Bought vehicle from owner 02/2023. Check brake system light came on a few months after, breaks started to skip and making a sound. Took it in to Ford dealership and they showed 2 recalls but never said it would be fixed.
The contact owns a 2008 Lincoln MKZ. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle overheated, and smoke was coming inside the cabin through the A/C vents. The contact was able to veer to the side of the road to inspect the vehicle and noticed that coolant was leaking onto the ground. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where the thermostat was replaced; however, the failure reoccurred on four other occasions. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who refilled the coolant in the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Additionally, the contact stated that on 5 separate occasions while driving, the brake pedal was depressed but the vehicle hesitated to respond, causing his vehicle to rear-end his wife’s vehicle. There were no injuries sustained. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle would shudder while depressing the brake pedal. I called ford dealerships to fix the problems back in 2019 but the two recalls have not been fixed yet. Recently, my car was almost failing to stop while I was breaking down.

I am afraid to drive my car and put others in danger and I'm afraid to sell my car because I could be knowingly putting other people at risk of injury or death and I can't do that knowingly.
Acutely while driving, the brake petal went all the way to the floor. The brakes slowly slowed the car but didn’t stop it. Car was towed to the dealership May 21st. I was refused a loaner. Despite receiving two separate notices (one of which was after they had my car) telling me to go get the free fix, they have failed to provide the part. Leaving me without a car for four months. This has to be past a customary fix time.

NEED MY RECALLS TO BE FIXED IN MY VEHICLE
I'VE BEEN GETTING AIRBAG WARNINGS FROM FORD VIA MAIL FOR OVER A YEAR. I MADE AN APPT AT THE FORD SVC DEPT IN CARSON CITY NV OVER A YEAR AGO. I'VE MADE FOLLOW UP CALLS BUT THEY DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT PART & CANNOT / WILL NOT REPAIR MY CAR. ALL I GET IS PAPER IN THE MAIL & PROMISES.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 50 MPH, WHILE DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO STOP AND THE EMERGENCY BRAKE ALSO FAILED TO STOP THE VEHICLE. AS A RESULT THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO AN EMBANKMENT. THE AIR BAG FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED BACK AND HEAD INJURIES THAT WAS ENCOUNTER WITH THE STEERING WHEEL AND WINDSHIELD. THE FRONT PASSENGER SUSTAINED LOWER BACK INJURIES BOTH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW LOT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 144,000.
NOTIFIED OF AIRBAG SAFETY RECALL NHTSA 19V-001, SAFETY RECALL NOTICE 19S01 YET, I HAVE ATTEMPTED MANY TIMES TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH PLANET LINCOLN/PLANET FORD IN HUMBLE AND WOODLANDS, TX. WHEN THEY DISCOVER I NEED A LOANER NO APPOINTMENT IS EVER MADE. THEY PROMISE TO CALL BACK WHEN A LOANER IS AVAILABLE AND NEVER DO. FORD AND LINCOLN SEND ME NOTIFICATION REGULARLY THAT THIS NEEDS TO ME TAKEN CARE OF. I HAVE RELATED THE SAME TO THEM. I SUPPOSE THEY THINK THEY WON'T BE HELD RESPONSIBLE IF SOMETHING HAPPENS TO MY AIRBAGS, BUT THEY WILL. I HAVE NAMES, DATES, AND CONVERSATIONS DOCUMENTED.

I AM HAVING A REALLY HARD TIME GETTING THIS AIR BAG REPLACED WITH A LOCAL DEALERSHIP THE ONLY DEALERSHIP IN RADIUS. MTN VIEW LINCOLN FORD CHATTANOOGA, TN. THIS IS THE ONLY VEHICLE I DRIVE AND I ADVISED THEM I WOULD NEED A LOANER WHILE THIS REPAIR IS BEING DONE. THE FIRST TIME I CALLED WITH A CS REPRESENTATIVE ON THE PHONE THEY ADVISED ME THEY DIDN'T HAVE A PART BUT COULD ORDER IT. I ASKED ABOUT A LOANER THE REP TOLD ME ONLY THE SERVICE MANAGER CAN APPROVE THAT AND I WAS SENT TO HIS DESK WHERE I LEFT A MESSAGE. I DIDN'T RECEIVE A CALL BACK. (THERE IS A GOOGLE REVIEW REGARDING MY EXPERIENCE). AFTER RECEIVING YET ANOTHER RECALL NOTICE LAST WEEK I DREADFULLY ATTEMPTED TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT TO GET THIS FIXED. WHICH WAS TODAY AT 7:45, LAST WEEK I EXPRESSED AGAIN THE NEED FOR A LOANER THE GUY WHO ANSWERED THE PHONE ADVISED ME THEY HAD 40 LOANERS OUT BUT HE CAN SEE WHAT HE CAN DO. TODAY I ARRIVED WAITED 20 MINS AND TODD COMES TO MY VEHICLE I ADVISED THEM WHAT I WAS THERE FOR AND HE STATED THERE ARE NO LOANERS BUT HE WILL GIVE ME A CALL AND UPDATE ME. NO ONE HAS CALLED ME.
TAKARA RECALL I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM LINCOLN 3 YEARS AGO AND NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE, THE VALUE OF THE VEHICLE HAS DECREASED AND I CANNOT SELL IT. THEY SHOULD BUY BACK THE CAR AT THE VALUE OF IT 3 YEARS AGO.
TAKATA RECALL, THE AIRBAG LIGHT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE SUDDENLY ILLUMINATED WITHOUT ANYTHING TRIGGERING IT WHILE I WAS DRIVING TO WORK. IT SHOWS THAT THE PASSENGER AIRBAG IS OFF DUE TO HAVING SOME KIND OF WEIGHT ON THE SEAT. BUT THERE IS NOTHING ON THE SEAT AT ALL WHEN THE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. IT IS STILL ON AND STAYED ON. I READ ABOUT THE RECALL FOR THE TAKATA AIRBAGS AND I READ THE THE AIRBAG CAN EXPLODE DURING A CRASH AND THAT DEFEATS THE PURPOSE OF HAVING AN AIRBAG. IT'S SUPPOSED TO SAVE LIVES AND NOT TAKE THEM AWAY. I WOULD LIKE TO GET THIS FIXED AND RESOLVED BEFORE WINTER COMES IN FULL EFFECT AND TO AVOID ADDITIONAL PROBLEMS IF AN ACCIDENT DO OCCUR.
