The defect: LiveWire EV, LLC (LiveWire) is recalling certain 2024 S2 Del Mar and S2 Mulholland motorcycles. The high voltage fuse may degrade and unexpectedly open, resulting in a loss of drive power.
The risk: Unexpected loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Dealers will install a high voltage fuse with an increased amperage rating, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 2024. Owners may contact LiveWire customer service at 1-855-387-4337. LiveWire's number for this recall is 1003.

The risk: A loose axle or shock nut can result in a loss of stability, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Dealers will inspect, tighten any loose nuts and replace damaged components as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 26, 2024. Owners may contact LiveWire customer service at 1-855-387-4337. LiveWire's number for this recall is 1002.

The defect: LIVEWIRE EV, LLC (LiveWire) is recalling certain 2024 S2DM (S2 Del Mar) motorcycles. The Vehicle Supervisory Control (VSC) software may initiate and cause a powertrain shutdown as a result of internal software voltage thresholds being exceeded.
The risk: An unexpected powertrain shutdown can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: LiveWire will release an over-the-air (OTA) software update. Owner notification letters were mailed March 5, 2024. Owners may contact LiveWire customer service at 1-855-387-4337. LiveWire's number for this recall is 1001.

The contact owns a 2024 Livewire S2 Del Mar Electric Motorcycle. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 35 MPH, an unknown warning light and a turtle icon had suddenly displayed and the motorcycle lost power and reduced speed. The contact checked the diagnostics and discovered error codes regarding overheating and loss of communication. The contact was able to drive the motorcycle home while in limp mode. It was later discovered that the electric motorcycle would no longer properly charge. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not yet contacted. notified. The failure mileage was 273.

Use this bulletin’s troubleshooting guidance to help identify contributing issues affecting 12 V battery health. A depleted or fully discharged 12v battery may be the result of other systems or components affecting 12 V battery health. Or it may be the result of expected behavior relating to certain conditions the 12 V battery was exposed.

SERVICE BULLETIN L1025: PRODUCT PROGRAM 1902 S2 ABS/EHCU MODULE CORRECTION. PURPOSE: Initial Release. This bulletin informs dealers that the Anti-lock Braking System / Electro -Hydraulic Control Unit (ABS EHCU) module on some S2 Del Mar and Mulholland vehicles have a software configuration that prevents them from being unlocked. This prevents the ability to perform an ABS service bleed and software updates. It does not affect the operation of Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). The update is applied by Digital Technician II (DT II) and will apply a seed and key to the Electro Hydraulic Control Unit (EHCU), which enables it to be unlocked via DT II or Firmware Over The Air (FOTA) update. The affected vehicles will also require an EHCU reflash following the update.
