The defect: Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2025 TerraPro trucks. The steering gearbox fasteners may loosen.
The risk: A loose steering gearbox can result in a loss of steering, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Dealers will inspect and tightened or replace the fasteners as necessary, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed September 21, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact Mack's customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0497.

The defect: Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2022-2027 TerraPro trucks. The engine control unit (ECU) software may allow the engine to start when the transmission is not in Neutral. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 102, "Transmission Shift Lever Sequence, Starter Interlock, and Transmission Braking Effect."
The risk: Starting the vehicle while in gear may cause unexpected vehicle movement, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
The remedy: Dealers will update the ECU software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 14, 2026. Owners may contact Mack's customer service at 1-800-866-1177. The defect: Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2010-2018 MRU and 2019-2025 Terrapro towing vehicles. The vehicles are missing the anti-lock brake (ABS) warning light and circuitry that controls the anti-lock brake function for an attached trailer. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 121, "Air Brake Systems."
The risk: Driving without a functioning anti-lock brake system may result in the trailer not braking as intended, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Dealers will add an ABS warning light and circuitry, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 28, 2025. Owners may contact Mack's customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0474.

The defect: Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Anthem, Granite, TerraPro and Pinnacle vehicles, equipped with Bendix EC80 Advanced Electronic Control Units (ECU). Electrical noise and low signal to the power line carrier may cause the ECU to incorrectly process commands or stop working.
The risk: Safety systems that depend on the ECU (Automatic Traction Control, ABS, Electronic Stability Control, Active Cruise Control, and Collison Mitigation System) may have diminished or lost functionality, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Dealers will reprogram the ECU software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 9, 2024. Owners may contact Mack customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0472.
