What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2000 Mazda Tribute, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

MAZDA TRIBUTE SUV - 2000 - - RECALL/REPLACE 2004 O2 SENSOR, BEGAN PROBLEMS AFTER THIS. INCIDENT: AFTER DRIVING AND ENGINE IS HOT, THEN STOP AT THE STORE FOR 10-20 MINS., THEN CAR WILL NOT RESTART OR STAY STARTED. IF IT RESTARTS, I CONTINUE TO HAVE TO PRESS THE GAS WHILE STOPPING AND BRAKING TO KEEP THE ENGINE FROM DYING. IF THE ENGINE HAS COOL TEMPERATURE OUTDOORS OR HAS AMPLE TIME TO COOL DOWN, THIS PROBLEM DOES NOT OCCUR. *TR
