The defect: McNeilus Truck & Manufacturing, Inc. (McNeilus) is recalling certain 2015-2024 Zero Radius refuse trucks. The side loader arm may not be properly secured, resulting in unexpected movement while driving.
The risk: A side loader arm that unexpectedly extends out from the vehicle body while driving increases the risk of a crash.
The remedy: McNeilus will provide new latch assemblies, free of charge. In addition, a McNeilus technician will update the vehicle software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 18, 2024. Owners may contact McNeilus' customer service at 1-888-686-7278.

The defect: McNeilus Truck & Manufacturing, Inc. (McNeilus) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Zero Radius trucks. The ejector welds may fail, causing pressure and force to be placed on the hydraulic cylinder, which can cause it to penetrate through the side of the truck body.
The risk: A hydraulic cylinder that penetrates the side of a truck body increases the risk of injury.
The remedy: McNeilus will either send service representatives to repair affected vehicles or ship parts to customers, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on November 21, 2022. Owners may contact McNeilus' customer service at 1-888-686-7278.

The McNeilus Body Control software on Zero Radius (ZR) side loaders has been updated to support the Neutral at Stop (NAS) enhancement offered by some chassis OEMs. The McNeilus Body Control software update will communicate to the chassis OEM that the McNeilus body is in Collection Mode.

McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing requires an inspection and replacement, if needed, to ensure the Bob Tail® Huck® bolts are fully swaged with correct thread exposure on the rear pivot cross member body mounts. Revision A updates the replacement bolt length to 90mm
