2014 Mercedes-Benz AMG GLA45 Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

Airbags

I DISCOVERED FROM THE NHTSA WEBSITE THAT MY VEHICLE HAS AN OPEN RECALL ON THE PASSENGER-SIDE FRONTAL AIRBAG. THE REMEDY SHOWN ON THE NHTSA WEBSITE IS FOR AN AUTHORIZED MERCEDES-BENZ DEALER TO REPLACE THE AIRBAG. TWO M-B DEALERS HAVE TOLD ME THAT THE REMEDY IS NOT YET AVAILABLE. I HAVE OWNED THIS CAR FOR MORE THAN 5 YEARS, AND I SUSPECT THIS DEFECT HAS BEEN KNOWN BY MERCEDES-BENZ FOR MOST OF THIS TIME. IT IS TIME FOR THEM TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. I DO NOT LIKE FOR MY WIFE TO RIDE IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT WITH AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT THREATENING SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.
