ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Mercedes-Benz AG (âMBAGâ), the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz, has produced certain MY 2021-2022 A-Class, CLA-Class, CLS-Class, E-Class, GLA-Class, GLB-Class, GLC-Class, GLEClass, GLS-Class, and AMG GT (177, 118, 257, 213, 247, 253, 167 and 290 platform) vehicles without the augmented reality camera (âARCâ), as disclosed at the time of sale to the vehicle purchaser. As a result, the ARC and "Dash-cam" functions are currently not enabled. What Weâre Doing MBUSA will conduct a Service Campaign where an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will retrofit the ARC to the vehicle and enable the ARC and âDash-camâ functions on applicable vehicles.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES
Complaint Tailgate opens unintentionally. Cause Accidental or unnoticed activation of the button to open the tailgate on the vehicle key. E.g. when stored in trouser pocket, handbag etc. Remedy As of the 6th generation, the vehicle key can be recoded so that the tailgate no longer opens as a result of a long press on the button, but by double-clicking on the button instead.
STEERING
Complaint Height adjustment of electric steering column adjustment jammed in the top/bottom adjustment position (e.g. with Easy Entry function). Cause Height adjustment moves to the top/bottom limit stop and jams.
STRUCTURE
Complaint Metallic noises from area of instrument panel Cause Due to a possible drop in torque at the screw connection of the NVH struts in the engine compartment (see picture in the attachment), noises may be perceived in the area of the instrument panel. Remedy Replacement of the 8 screws of the NVH struts in the engine compartment.
STEERING
Complaint Height adjustment of electric steering column adjustment jammed in the top/bottom adjustment position (e.g. with Easy Entry function). Cause Height adjustment moves to the top/bottom limit stop and jams. Remedy There are 2 repair procedures to follow depending on vehicle (differentiated according to model and vehicle manufacturing date) 1. Replace repair kit for steering column height adjustment 2. Perform software update of driver's seat control unit
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Complaint Customer states after a bus sleep the SiriusXM category changes from "My Favorites" to "All Stations" or a different category. Sometimes, the "My Favorites" category will be unavailable for the entire drive cycle. Cause Current MBUX Multimedia System (A26/17) software release Remedy Software update of MBUX Multimedia System (A26/17) to E905.4 (in development). This document will be updated once the software is released.
