What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2015 Mercedes-Benz AMG S63, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

From owner reports, verbatim
I am reporting the headlights on my vehicle which will go "Light Inoperative" while driving, yes. Yes, I could not see down the road on a dark highway I had to pull over to gain my senses and get to safety clear of oncoming traffic. Yes, the issue has been inspected by the dealership Mercedes as well as a third party shop to indicate moisture in the lights which causes a malfunction. Yes, my vehicle has been inspected before a few years ago when it was involved in a head on collision with a dog. Yes, the dashboard issues the warning immediately that their is failure in the lightning system.---------The lights have been replaced multiple times along with computer modules. Mercedes is aware of the issue and multiple owners are reporting the same issue.
Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
