ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Complaint The vehicle pulls to the left or right. Cause In vehicles with Car Package Release "CPR" 2.1.0 or prior, the calibration value for the straight‑line stability of the electric power steering is not fully calibrated. Remedy Install Car Package Release 2.1.1 or later. Straight‑line normalization is then relearned during normal driving followed by a bus sleep. After the update, fault code P063544 may be active and stored in the electric power steering control unit, as the learned end stops are deleted during the update. This does not result in any functional limitations or warning messages; the end stops are learned during normal vehicle use. The fault code is cleared by automatic means after the teach‑in of the end stops is complete.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Complaint 174 with MB.OS 2.1.3 ‑ Driver Assistance System Limited in Instrument Cluster and Does Not Self‑Extinguish. When vehicle is shut off, instrument cluster message appears for "Driver Assistance Systems Available". Cause Under Determination. Remedy Perform initial startup of the head unit (A26/17) and the intelligent drive controller (N62/5).
SERVICE BRAKES
Complaint Repeat workshop visit for vehicle vibration while braking from 60MPH. NOTE: Although the symptom is similar to a tire or wheel vibration, it is usually readily noticeable that it is distinctly different if it happens at all times or only while braking. Cause Although the cause of the vibration is most likely due to excessive lateral runout on the rotor or hub/wheel bearing, the system as a whole needs to be checked for other possible contributors. 1. Prior collision damage. 2. Excessive vehicle sitting times without rotating components. 3. Wheel bearing/hub lateral runout. 4. Wheel mating interface has been overtightened (did not follow WIS torque procedures). 5. Mating interfaces have been excessively modified (painted, gouged, bent, etc...). Remedy Read through the entire attached worksheet prior to performing. After performing, please review the final page and perform work accordingly. NOTE: This document is not pre‑authorization or otherwise dealing with warranty. This is intended for diagnostic purposes only. If there are any questions on how to proceed OR The work sheet has been performed and the vehicle has returned with the same concern. Please perform the measurements as seen in the worksheet again and open a TIPS case to the Body, Chassis, and Entertainment team.
STRUCTURE:BODY
Complaint Clanking noise from the area of the speakers in the doors. Cause Under analysis. Remedy To narrow down the cause, first of all remove the door trim. • If the noise continues to occur even with the door trim removed, then continue the diagnosis working towards the speaker and if necessary, create a TIPS case with an informative video as an attachment. Note: Please refer to this document in the warranty claim and, once diagnosis is completed, select the damage code depending on the component part that is causing the issue. • If the noise stops when the door trim is removed, please proceed in accordance with LI72.10‑P‑067691. Information: In this case, do not use a damage code for the speakers in the warranty claim!
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Complaint Display message in the instrument cluster for "Active Brake Assist Inoperative" or "DISTRONIC inoperative". AND Fault code C1100FC or C1100FD is Active or Active and Stored in MRR_F_Gen6 (B29/20). Cause The holder for the MRR_F_Gen6 (B29/20) front radar sensor may no longer have the correct alignment (angular position). Remedy Confirm whether the instrument cluster message was already present upon receipt of the vehicle by the end customer. Check if DTC mileage was present prior to vehicle PDI/Sale of vehicle. In this case, submit under warranty with the specified SSL. If vehicle exhibited the instrument cluster message AND DTC mileage was AFTER customer hand‑over, cost settlement under warranty is not possible as it is due to outside damages. Note: Additionally, it is possible to obtain a timestamp for a possible collision, including the date, if the end customer has purchased the "Parking and Collision Alert" digital service. In both cases, the front radar holder must be replaced. After replacing the radar holder, perform calibration in IDC_Gen6 (N62/5).

Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
