The contact owns a 2019 Mercedes-Benz E450 4Matic. The contact stated while driving at 40 MPH, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended and made an abnormal clunking sound. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact had received the recall notification letter of NHTSA Campaign Number 26V216000 (Power Train). The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who confirmed the parts were backordered. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 46,000.
