The contact owns a 2023 Mercedes Benz EQE. The contact stated that after the vehicle was delivered to his residence the low coolant warning light illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 328. The VIN was not available.

LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES; STRUCTURE:BODY:DOOR
Complaint The surface-flush door handle sometimes does not retract when the vehicle is locked. It is only after repeated locking operation that the problematic door handle retracts. Cause Motor fault detection (FC B185E96 or B185D96) is triggered in the bearing bracket electronics of the surface-flush door handle (A17/x) during the retracting movement and an adjustment for this cycle is prevented. Remedy Replace bearing bracket of surface-flush door handle on problematic door.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Complaint Traffic Light View is intermittently inoperable after updating the MBUX Multimedia System (A26/17) to E316.5. Cause Previously available MBUX software release. Remedy A new software remedy is currently available. Please update the head unit software to version E329.5 or newer.
POWER TRAIN
Complaint Noises when reversing slowly < 4 mph (squeaking) Cause There is a seal in the electric drivetrain that seals off the coolant system from the electric motor. This seal is moistened with coolant during forward travel. As a result of the change in rotational direction when reversing slowly, it may be the case that this sealing ring is no longer moistened. Squeaking noises may occur as a result of the so-called "stick-slip effect". This behavior does not impact the function or durability of the sealing ring and electric drivetrain. Remedy Do not replace any parts. Explain the cause of the noises to the customer.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Complaint The "Ambient Light Warning Assistance Inoperative" warning message is displayed in the instrument cluster and the light-emitting diode strips are not working. This message is set by the active ambient lighting control unit (N162/1), when a light-emitting diode strip is missing or where a fault is detected in the light-emitting diode strip. Cause The following causes are possible: 1. Rework in active ambient lighting area. The ambient lighting is switched on and the connectors are disconnected from the wiring harness.NO fault code is stored. 2. Fault code 123X87 (communication error) is stored in the active ambient lighting control unit (N162/1) and an lightemitting diode strip (E34/1-6) is displayed in the quick test with ! (exclamation mark).. 3. Fault code 186X00 (malfunction) stored in the light-emitting diode strips (E34/1-6). 4. Fault code 186x98 (overtemperature) stored in light-emitting diode strips (E34/1-6). 5. There are no fault codes stored in the active ambient lighting control unit (N162/1) and in the light-emitting diode strips (E34/1-6). Remedy 1. Lock and unlock vehicle to reset the active ambient lighting control unit (N162/1). IMPORTANT: When locking, the visual locking verification signal must be visible. Make sure that all the doors are shut. After locking, wait until the instrument cluster switches to OFF, then press unlock. 2. Run guided test as per XENTRY Diagnosis (check electric lines and connectors).
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Complaint The display in the Lower Multifunction Steering Wheel Button Group (A74/2) may be completely or partially inoperable (see attached picture). Note: There is no loss of vehicle functionality due to this complaint Cause The complaint may occur when a new user profile is created in MBUX. Remedy Immediate measure: Perform a user data reset of the MBUX Multimedia System (settings -> system -> reset). Long-term measure: Updated AMG Drive Unit (N145/1) software is under development. NOTE: Do not replace parts for this complaint
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES
Complaint Tailgate opens unintentionally. Cause Accidental or unnoticed activation of the button to open the tailgate on the vehicle key. E.g. when stored in trouser pocket, handbag etc. Remedy As of the 6th generation, the vehicle key can be recoded so that the tailgate no longer opens as a result of a long press on the button, but by double-clicking on the button instead.
