What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2006 Mercedes-Benz GLK350, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

WATER LEAKED OUT OF AN INSULATED COOLER SITTING ON THE FLOOR BEHIND THE RIGHT PASSENGER SEAT. THE WATER WENT THRU THE CARPET AND CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE MODULES WHICH THEN SHUT DOWN THE ENTIRE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AND CAUSED THE CAR TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP AND COULD NOT BE STARTED AS WE HAD JUST LEFT THE FREEWAY. THE CAR HAD TO BE TOWED TO A DEALER. IT HAD TO BE DRIED OUT, REINSTALL THE BATTERY, REPLACE THE CONTROL MODULES. WE WERE TOLD THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM EVEN IF A DRINK WERE SPILLED ON THE BACKFLOOR. THE DEALER TOLD US IT WAS A POOR DESIGN FOR PLACEMENT OF ALL THESE ELECTRICAL MODULES. THE OLD PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. *TR
