The defect: Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2002-2015 MB II, 2008-2026 G5, and 2015-2026 T-Series transit buses. An installation error may prevent the wheelchair tie-downs from locking, leaving the wheelchair improperly secured.
The risk: An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit or a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

The risk: In the event of an emergency, a broken door handle can prevent or delay emergency responders from entering the vehicle, increasing the risk of injury.

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."
The risk: Seats that detach may not adequately restrain an occupant, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.

The risk: A loose power cable connection may cause the control board to overheat and melt, increasing the risk of a fire.

The risk: A damaged electrical harness may short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire.

The defect: Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2013-2021 G5 transit buses. The fold-away seat, adjacent to a side emergency exit, may obstruct access to the emergency exit release handle and instruction label. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 217, "Bus Emergency Exits and Window Retention and Release."
The risk: Occupants may have to unfold the seat to access the exit handle and instructions, delaying an emergency evacuation and increasing the risk of injury.
The remedy: Micro Bird will provide inspection instructions to owners. Dealers will apply a new instruction label or relocate the emergency exit as necessary, free of charge.
