TL-THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ANOTHER VEHICLE THAT WAS DRIVING AT 70 MPH AND CRASHED INTO HER VEHICLE CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO CRASH INTO THE VEHICLE IN FRONT. THE SEAT BELT FAILED TO RETRACT AND THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACTS HEAD HIT THE WINDSHIELD AND BRUISED HER LEGS. THE CONTACT DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACTS HOUSE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 156,000. DJR

AS A RESULT, SHE CRASHED INTO SOME TREES AND THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND THE CONTACT WAS INJURED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 148,000.
