2007 Mitsubishi Endeavor Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

What this page shows

Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2007 Mitsubishi Endeavor, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.

Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

IN OCTOBER 2010, I BACKED OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY AND HEARD A LOUD NOISE (I WAS WORRIED I HAD HIT SOMETHING). I LOOKED AROUND AND NOTICED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR WINDOW WAS DOWN AND I DID NOT PUT IT DOWN. WHEN I TRIED TO PUT IT BACK UP, IT DIDN'T MOVE. I CONTACTED MY LOCAL MITSUBISHI DEALER AND THEY ADVISED THAT THE WINDOW REGULATOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. LUCKILY, I WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. NOW, LESS THAN A YEAR LATER, I WAS DRIVING DOWN A BUSY HIGHWAY, AND HEARD THAT SAME LOUD NOISE. ONCE AGAIN, I THOUGHT I HAD HIT SOMETHING OR SOMETHING HAD HIT ME. I PULLED OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TO DISCOVER THAT MY DRIVER SIDE REAR WINDOW WAS DOWN. I VISITED MY LOCAL MITSUBISHI DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT THE WINDOW REGULATOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. HOWEVER, I AM NOW OUT OF WARRANTY AND AM BEING TOLD IT WILL BE $250 (BEFORE TAXES AND FEES) TO HAVE THIS PART REPLACED. I DO UNDERSTAND THAT PARTS WEAR OUT AND NEED REPLACING BUT I FIND IT FUNNY THAT BOTH SIDES WENT OUT WITHIN ONE YEAR OF EACH OTHER. I ALSO DON'T THINK IT'S SAFE TO HAVE MY CHILDREN IN THE BACK WHERE THE WINDOWS SEEM TO FALL DOWN AT ANY GIVEN MOMENT. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF ANYONE ELSE IS HAVING THIS PROBLEM AND TO FIND OUT IF THERE IS ANY RECALL IN THE WORKS. THANK YOU. *TR
