The defect: CERTAIN CLASS A MOTOR HOMES EQUIPPED WITH DRIVER SEATS BUILT BY VILLA INTERNATIONAL FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 207, "SEATING SYSTEMS." THE LOWER SLIDE RAILS OF THE AIR SUSPENSION CAN FAIL.
The risk: IN THE EVENT OF A VEHICLE CRASH, SEPARATION OF THE SEAT FROM THE SEAT PEDESTAL MAY LEAD TO PERSONAL INJURY OF THE VEHICLE OCCUPANTS.
The remedy: MONACO IS WORKING WITH VILLA TO INSTALL TWO REINFORCEMENT TETHERS BETWEEN THE FRONT OF THE SEAT PEDESTAL AND THE TOP OF THE AIR SUSPENSION FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON NOVEMBER 16, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT MONACO AT 1-800-685-6545.

The defect: ON CERTAIN CLASS A MOTOR HOMES EQUIPPED WITH DETROIT DIESEL SERIES C-60 ENGINES, THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE (ECM) WILL REQUIRE TO BE REPROGRAMMED TO CURRENT MAINFRAME CALIBRATIONS.
The risk: REPROGRAMMING THE ECM WILL PREVENT THE POTENTIAL OF A TURBOCHARGER FAILURE FROM PROGRESSING TO AN ENGINE COMPARTMENT FIRE.
The remedy: DETROIT DIESEL IS CONDUCTING THIS RECALL (PLEASE SEE 06E019000) AND WILL REPROGRAM THE ECM TO CURRENT MAINFRAME CALIBRATIONS FREE OF CHARGE. OWNERS MAY CONTACT DETROIT DIESEL AT 313-592-3708 OR MONACO AT 1-800-685-6545.

The defect: CERTAIN TRUCKS BUILT WITH A 8X6 WHEEL CONFIGURATION (TRIDEMS) FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 121, 'AIR BRAKE SYSTEMS.' THE AS-BUILT AIR BRAKE COMPONENT SIZE AND CONFIGURATION ARE INADEQUATE FOR THE EXTENDED WHEELBASES CAUSING THE MID-REAR AND REAR-REAR AXLE BRAKE APPLY TIMING TO BE NONCOMPLIANT WITH THE STANDARD.
The risk: THE LONGER BRAKE APPLY TIME MAY RESULT IN EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCES, WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CRASH.
The remedy: DEALERS WILL CHANGE THE AIR HOSING (TO 3/4" DIAMETER) FROM THE AIR TANK; AIR HOSING (TO 3/4") FROM THE ABS-MODULATOR VALVES TO SERVICE BRAKE QUICK RELEASE VALVES; AND THE SERVICE BRAKE QUICK RELEASE VALVES WILL BE UPGRADED WITH LARGER PORTS TO ACCOMMODATE HIGH AIR FLOW FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON MARCH 10, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT INTERNATIONAL AT 1-800-448-7825.

MOTOR COACH REAR AXLES (2) WELDED INCORRECT, -0.48 THRUST ANGLE & 0.30 SCRUB ANGLE ON AXLE #1. TOE @ -0.34 DEGREES & 0.44 DEGREES FROM FACTORY/DEALER. FRONT AXLE ALIGNMENT "OVERADJUSTED" TO OVERCOME EXTREME REAR AXLE OFFSET. (ALIGNMENT SHOP STATES FACTORY WELDING "JIG" IS OFF AND MUST BE OTHER COACHS WITH SAME UNSAFE HANDELING PROBLEMS!!) WINDSHIELD WIPERS DID NOT WORK. WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM BENT & WON'T MAKE CONTACT WITH GLASS. WINDSHIELD WASHER NOZZLES EMIT INTERMITTENT STREAMS...NO COVERAGE. DRIVER SHOULDER BELT BINDS INSIDE REAR CUSHION & WON'T EXTEND NOR RETRACT. ACCELERATOR/BRAKE PEDAL POSITION CAUSES FOOT TO CATCH WHEN SWITCHING QUICKLY FROM ACCERLERATOR TO BRAKE....VERY DANGEROUS! HORN DID NOT WORK. WINDSHIELD DEFROSTERS WOULD NOT CLEAR WINDSHIELD...ICED OVER...NO REAR VISION POSSILBE. DOOR DEADBOLT INOPERATIVE SUNVISORS COVER ONLY 50-60% OF WINDSHIELD AREA. HEADLIGHT (LEFT) @ 30 DEGREES TO HORIZONTAL. EXTREMELY LOW TIRE PRESSURE @ REAR....76 TO 95 # ON 47,000# COACH, & DELIVERED WITH 2500 MILES DRIVEN BY FACTORY/DEALER. COACH PORPOSES VIOLENTLY & UNCONTROLLABLY THRUSTS RIGHT OR LEFT 1-2'. SIDE REAR VIEW CAMERAS NOT USABLE AFTER DARK. I REFUSED TO ACCEPT OR PAY FOR COACH UNDER A UCC REVOCATION OF ACCEPTANCE. FACTORY (MONACO COACH) PICKED-UP COACH 9 MONTHS LATER FOR RE-BUILDING. DEALER REPOSSESSED FROM FACTORY AND SOLD AT AUCTION.
