The defect: VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: MOTORCYCLES. THE HOSES SUPPLYING OIL FROM THE ENGINE TO THE OIL RADIATOR AND BACK TO THE ENGINE CAN SEPARATE AT THE FITTINGS. A LEAK CAN DEVELOP AND OIL CAN GET ON THE TIRES OF THE MOTORCYCLE.
The risk: OIL ON THE TIRES CAN CAUSE LOSS OF CONTROL, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
The remedy: DEALERS WILL INSTALL REPLACEMENT OIL RADIATOR HOSES OF IMPROVED DESIGN AND MATERIALS.

ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT FRONT DISKS (BOTH RIGHT AND LEFT) WARPED AT 3,500 MILES. REPLACEMENT ROTORS WARPED WITHIN 1,500 MILES OF INSTALLATION. ROTOR MATERIAL IS INAPPROPRIATE FOR APPLICATION. MFG REFUSES TO REPLACE WITH NON-WARPING MATERIAL. WARPED ROTORS PRESENT A LOW SPEED CONTROL PROBLEMS THAT COULD RESULT IN A CRASH.
