CONSUMER RECEIVED RECALL 03V486000 CONCERNING TRANSMISSION GEAR BREAKAGE. DEALERSHIP WAS UNABLE TO PERFORM RECALL REPAIRS BECAUSE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR OVER 3 MONTHS. *AK

GAS TANK IS SEVERELY SWOLLEN, MAINTENANCE OF FUEL SYSTEM COMPONENTS IMPOSSIBLE, TANK MOUNTING TO FRAME COMPROMISED, EVIDENCE OF A SMALL FUEL LEAK REQUIRES MOTORCYCLE TO BE STORED OUTSIDE DUE TO SAFETY CONCERNS.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 MOTO GUZZI V11 SPORT. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPED OR DID NOT ENGAGE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXHIBITED THE SAME SYMPTOMS AS LISTED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 03V486000 (POWER TRAIN). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 34,500. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. *DT CARFAX CANNOT PROCESS THIS REQUEST.
