The contact owns a 2021 Moto Guzzi V85 TT Travel. The contact stated while riding 60 MPH, the motorcycle started to decelerate independently. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that while engaging the throttle, the motorcycle accelerated suddenly and he lost his balance on the motorcycle. The contact called the local dealer and made them aware of the failure. The dealer sent a technician to his residence to update the computer software. The contact experienced the failure six times. The contact called the local dealer again and made them aware of the failure. The motorcycle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,200.

Model: Moto Guzzi V85 (all models) Subject: Vehicle stops on road due to lack of battery charge Dear Dealer / Service Centre / Authorised workshop, We hereby inform you that if the vehicle is stopped on the road due to a lack of battery charge, please proceed as described below. SYMPTOM: Vehicle stop due to lack of charge caused by pinched cable after engine guard assembly code 2S001281-2S001282. SOLUTION: One of the most common causes of lack of battery charge on the vehicles in question is the use of accessory engine guards code 2S00181-2S00182, because the voltage regulator cable is inadvertently pinched during installation of this accessory. Before requesting the replacement of components such as magneto-flywheel or battery be avoided, instead search for the area where the regulator cable has been pinched. The following photo shows the engine guard assembled on a vehicle and in the circled area the area where the pinching of the regulator cable occurs.

Model: V85 TT Euro 5 (all versions) Subject: Availability of engine ECU calibration update Dear Dealer / Service Centre, We hereby inform you that a software update relating to the calibration of the engine ECU is available, after checking that the P.A.D.S. diagnostic tool is updated to the latest release available. The operation referred to above is to be included in the normal maintenance activities to be carried out at the same time as the pre-delivery, during the activities scheduled for services, or on the first convenient passage in the Workshop for vehicles in circulation. The main contents of the available update are: • Resolution of sporadic head knocking. • Resolution of possible shut-downs with the use of the new canister management. • Improved handling.
