HEADLIGHTS ARE NOT ADEQUATE FOR LIGHTING THE ROAD ON UNLIGHTED HYWAYS. RANGE IS LESS THAN 30 FEET. HIGH BEAMS ONLY CREATE GLARE, NO LONG DISTANCE PENETRATION. AIMING HAS NOT HELPED. *AK

BLOW OUT OF MICHELIN XRV TIRE ON NEW MOTOR HOME. TIRE DATA: DOT B6H6 AK3 X 1803 255/80R22.5 10135 MILES ON TIRE TIRE WAS INFLATED TO 98 PSI , MOTOR HOME WAS LIGHTLY LOADED. TWO RUPTURES ON OUTSIDE SIDEWALL OF TIRE , ONE "Z" SHAPED, THE OTHER "L" SHAPED. THE HOLES ARE APPROXIMATELY 70 DEGREES APART ON EITHER SIDE OF THE LABEL MICHELIN. IN BOTH THE Z AND L SHAPED HOLES THE SMALLEST TEARS ARE CIRCUMFERENTIAL (~2" EACH) THE LONGEST PART OF THE HOLES ARE RADIAL (~ 4-5" LONG). BLOWOUT OCCURRED INSTANTANEOUSLY (SOUNDED LIKE GUN SHOT) IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC ON I-64 IN LOUISVILLE KY. WAS ABLE TO SAFELY STOP VEHICLE ON SHOULDER WITHOUT DAMAGING RIM OR ANY OTHER PART OF THE MOTOR HOME. MY ROAD SERVICE (COACH NET) LOCATED A TIRE COMPANY WHICH 3.5 HOURS AND $412 LATER CORRECTED THE PROBLEM. *NM
