The defect: Newell Coach Corp. (Newell) is recalling certain 2023-2024 P50 motor coaches. The brake lights may fail to illuminate unless the brake pedal is fully depressed.
The risk: Brake lights that fail to illuminate may reduce the visibility of the vehicle or fail to indicate to other drivers that the coach is slowing down, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Newell will rewire the brake switch, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 14, 2023. Owners may contact Newell customer service at 1-888-363-9355.

The defect: Newell Coach Corp. (Newell) is recalling certain 2023 P50 motor coaches. The battery disconnect switch may fail to disconnect the battery when turned to the off position.
The risk: A failed battery disconnect switch increases the risk of electrical shock and injury during maintenance or repairs.
The remedy: Newell will remove and replace the battery disconnect switch, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 13, 2023. Owners may contact Newell customer service at 1-888-363-9355.

Manufacturer communication
Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.
