The defect: Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain 2026 Freedom Aire motorhomes. The Cargo Carrying Capacity (CCC) label may state an incorrect weight value. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 120, “Wheels and Rims - Other Than Passenger Cars.”
The risk: Incorrect weight information can allow the vehicle to be overloaded, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Dealers will replace the labels, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 20, 2026. Owners may contact Newmar customer service at 1-800-731-8300. Newmar's number for this recall is 631 RSB.

The risk: A detached spoiler may become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING

The defect: Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain 2026 Freedom Aire motorhomes. The hydronic heating system wiring may be incorrectly connected to constant 12V power, which can cause the hydronic heating system to unintentionally activate.
The risk: Unintended activation of the hydronic heating system can produce harmful gas, increasing the risk of injury.
The remedy: Dealers will repair the wiring, and disconnect the hydronic heating system from constant 12V power, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 20, 2026. Owners may contact Newmar customer service at 1-800-731-8300. Newmar's number for this recall is 626 RSB.
