2007 Newmar Mountain Aire Dp Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

WINDSHIELD WIPER STRIPS OUT AND HAS DONE SO MORE THAN ONCE, OF COURSE THIS HAPPENED WHILE IN HEAVY TRAFFIC WITH HEAVY RAIN ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. I WAS ABLE TO EVENTUALLY SAFELY PULL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROADWAY AND REATTACH IT STAY TOGETHER UNTIL I GO TO NEXT TOWN. BUT YOU HERE OF THIS HAPPENING TO FAR TO MANY N MOTORHOME OWNERS AND IT IS VERY DANGEROUS.

HEAVY RAINSTORM, WIPERS RUNNING ON HIGH SPEED. PASSENGER SIDE WIPER STOPS MOVING & IMPEDES THE DRIVERS SIDE WIPERS MOVEMENT. VISIBILITY DROPS TO NEARLY ZERO, AND MAKES GETTING TO A SAFE PLACE TO STOP VERY DIFFICULT. RV MANUFACTURER REPLACED THE WIPER MOTOR/SHAFT & WIPER ARM AS THE SPLINES WERE COMPLETELY WIPED SMOOTH. HAPPENED AGAIN A YEAR LATER. SAME SCENARIO, SAME WIPER. SAME DAMAGE TO THE WIPER MOTOR SHAFT SPLINES & WIPER ARM SPLINES. *TR

Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
