The contact owns a 2010 Nissan Cube. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V230000 (Air Bags). The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that the parts were ordered. The contact stated that the parts had not been available for approximately 62 days. The manufacturer was not contacted. The contact had not experienced a failure.
The contact owns a 2010 Nissan Cube. The contact stated that upon taking the vehicle to the dealer to be repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V230000 (AIR BAGS), the dealer discovered that the vehicle was not equipped with a front driver's side air bag. The contact stated that the vehicle was purchased as a used vehicle from Marty Cancila Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram (2175 N Hwy 67, Saint Louis, MO 63114); who had not disclosed that the vehicle was not equipped with the air bag. The Nissan dealer had ordered an air bag for the recall repair. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The failure mileage was 139,000.

The contact stated that while driving at 5 MPH at an intersection and making a left turn, the front passenger's side near the front bumper of the vehicle collided with another vehicle. The contact stated that all the air bags deployed, with the exception of the front driver's side air bag. The contact sustained a neck injury and a gash cut on his left leg near the calf. IN 2013, MY AIRBAG LIGHT WENT OFF ALL OF A SUDDEN AFTER A FEW MILES OF DRIVING AND IT WAS RED UNTIL RECENTLY WHEN THE MECHANIC MANUALLY TURN IT OFF.
AIRBAGS INDICATOR LIGHT WILL COME ON AND OFF PERIODICALLY WHILE DRIVING HAD IT TO DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES AND WAS TOLD THIS IS WHAT IT DOES AND IT JUST NEEDS RESET. I WAS ALSO TOLD THEIR WAITING FOR A RECALL AND THAT WHEN INDICATOR LIGHT IS ON ,, AIRBAGS ARE NOT WORKING,,, THIS HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING,, ONLY
TAKATA RECALL
IN A SIDE COLLISION CRASH ON 6/3/17, SIDE AIR CURTAIN DID NOT DEPLOY. VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION AT 35 MPH SPEED LIMIT. CAR WAS THROWN AGAINST PASS. SIDE OF CUBE. FRONT AND SIDE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY.....UPDATED 06/21/17 *BF *JS
SINCE I PURCHASE MY NISSAN CUBE ON COOL MORNINGS(UNDER 60) THE PASSENGER AIR BAG WILL BE OFF WHEN A 110 POUND PERSON IS IN THE SEAT. AFTER LESS THAN 5 MILES OF DRIVING THE AIR BAG WILL TURN ON. THE LOCAL NISSAN DEALER HAS HAD THE CAR IN 3-4 TIME AND AS THERE IS NO CODE IN THE COMPUTER THEY SAY THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM. AS MOST ACCIDENTS HAPPEN CLOSE TO HOME THIS COULD BE A BIG PROBLEM. *TR
