1994 Nissan Quest Body & structure Problems

Owner-reported complaints naming the body or structure system, filed with NHTSA

Data refreshed

Body & structure reportsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

AS REPORTED ON CBS EYE ON AMERICA ON SEPT. 7, 2001, I HAVE A NISSAN QUEST WITH DEMON LOCKS. THEY DOORS LOCK 75%+ OF THE TIME WHEN I TOUCH THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR HANDLE (INSIDE OR OUT) OR CLOSE THE DOOR. WITHOUT THE OUTSIDE KEYPAD I WOULD HAVE DIFFICULTING GETTING BACK IN. I WANT TO MAKE SURE THIS IS REPORTED SINCE VARIOUS GROUPS ARE SAYING THIS IS ONLY AN ISOLATED PROBLEM. I BELIEVE IT IS A SERIOUS SAFETY PROBLEM AND I ALSO BELIEVE THE NISSAN QUEST VAN HAS AN OVERALL ELECTRICAL PROBLEM DUE TO THE NUMBER OF ELECTRICAL ITEMS THAT HAVE FAILED DURING MY OWNERSHIP OF THE VEHICLE.*AK
