TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1994 OLDSMOBILE BRAVADA. WHENEVER THE CONTACT DRIVES OVER A DAMP PATCH ON THE ROAD AND APPLIES THE BRAKES, THE BRAKE PEDAL EXTENDS ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. AS A RESULT, THE BRAKING DISTANCE INCREASED. THE FAILURE HAS OCCURRED NUMEROUS TIMES WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH. THROUGH ONLINE RESEARCH, THE CONTACT FOUND RECALLS AND TSB'S ON HIS VEHICLE FOR THE SAME FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT HIS VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 99I006000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:ANTILOCK); THEREFORE, NOTHING COULD BE DONE. THE CONTACT BELIEVES THAT HIS VEHICLE SHOULD BE INCLUDED AND REPAIRED FOR FREE SINCE THE FAILURES ARE IDENTICAL. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 130,000.
FUEL PUMP/ AFTER DRIVING UP A HILL I WENT TO MERGE INTO A LANE, MY CAR STALLED LOSING ALL POWER AS A CAR NEARLY RE -ENDED US I QUICKLY STARTED IT AGAIN TO IMMEDIATEDLY STALL AGAIN. TOW TRUCK CAME AND IT SITS AT THE HOUSE UNTIL I GET SOME ANSWERS. I ALSO DON'T UNDERSTAND ABOUT THE EGR VALVE RECALL I HAD REPLACED 4 TIMES BUT IT IS NOT LISTED ON THE RECALL LIST (AKA) SILENT RECALL. HOW MANY MORE ARE MISSING? *AK
Driver assistance

THE VEHICLES ACCELERATOR STUCK AND CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO SURGE EVEN WITH THE PARKING BRAKE APPLIED. THE CONSUMER STATED THAT TWO DAYS LATER THE ACCELERATOR WAS STILL STUCK AND TIRES JUST SPIN. *NLM
AT 13 MPH, THE CONSUMER APPLIED THE BRAKES AND THE ENGINE REVVED, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED UP TO 68 MPH. AS SOON AS THE CONSUMER TOOK HER FOOT OFF THE BRAKES THE ENGINE REVVED UP. THE VEHICLE HIT A FIRE TRUCK, THE CONSUMER SUFFERED INJURIES TO FACE, AND 5 OTHER PEOPLE WERE INJURED IN THE CRASH. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALLED. *AK *SCC

FRONT IMPACT TO SUV LEADING TO ENGINE BURSTING INTO FLAMES, KILLING OCCUPANT! FUEL LINES RUPTURED AND SPRAYED HOT MOTOR WITH PRESSURIZED FUEL! DRIVER WAS ALIVE AFTER IMPACT! DRIVER COULD NOT EXIT SUV DUE TO BODY DAMAGE FROM IMPACT! IN WHICH SUV BURST INTO FLAMES BURNNING DRIVER ALIVE!*AK

TIRE BLEW OUT COMPLETELY; THE SIDE TOTALLY BLEW AWAY FROM THE TIRE; MY SON WAS DRIVING DOWN I25 AT 75MPH AND HE HEARD AN EXPLOSION AND THE VEHICLE STARTED SWERVING AND HE GOT IT PULLED OVER AND STOPPED. HE HAD JUST STARTED TO PASS ANOTHER SMALLER VEHICLE.*AK
THERE IS A BANGING NOISE COMING FROM VEHICLE WHEN STOPPING OR STARTING. VEHICLE ALSO SHAKES WHEN THIS HAPPENS. THE BALL JOINTS WERE REPLACED TWO YEARS AGO BECAUSE OF THIS REASON WITH AROUND 19,000 MILES. 26,000 LATER, PROBLEM IS BACK. THE DEALER IS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM. OWNER WAS TOLD THAT THE PROBLEM WAS NOT UNSAFE. *AK
