The defect: ON CERTAIN SPORTS/CAMPER TRAILERS EQUIPPED WITH FURNACES, THE FURNACE WAS IMPROPERLY INSTALLED SO THAT THE EXHAUST VENT DISCHARGED INTO THE OCCUPIED SPACE OF THE TRAILER AND THE HEATED AIR DISCHARGED OUTSIDE OF THE TRAILER.
The risk: CARBON MONOXIDE IN THE LIVING QUARTERS COULD CAUSE INJURY OR DEATH.
The remedy: DEALERS WILL CORRECTLY POSITION THE EXHAUST VENT. THE RECALL BEGAN ON JANUARY 23, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT PACE AMERICAN AT 800-247-5767.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 PACIFIC BOAT TRAILER, MODEL G25TW5-9 (NA). THE VEHICLE HAS CARLISLE RADIAL TRAIL, SIZE ST225/75R15 TIRES. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD POPPING NOISE. HE PULLED OVER AND NOTICED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR TIRE BLEW OUT. THE TIRE WAS REPLACED WITH A SPARE. HE ALSO NOTICED THAT TWO OTHER TIRES WERE OUT OF ROUND. THE TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS LESS THAN 6,000. NO OTHER VEHICLE INFORMATION WAS AVAILABLE. *UPDATED 12/12/07 *BF UPDATED 12/12/07 *TR

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 PACE AMERICAN WS610SHD TRAILER (NA). WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. AFTER INSPECTION, HE STATED THAT THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE FENDER FELL OFF. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE WELDING FAILED, WHICH COULD HAVE BEEN CAUSED BY TOO MUCH WEIGHT IN THE TRAILER. AS OF SEPTEMBER 20, 2007, THE DEALER HAD NOT REPAIRED THE VEHICLE. THE ENGINE SIZE, NUMBER OF CYLINDERS, MILEAGE, POWERTRAIN, AND FUEL INFORMATION WERE INAPPLICABLE.
