What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 1986 Peugeot 505, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

I BOUGHT 5 KELLY ULTRA TECH 175R14 TIRES FROM COKER TIRES. 1317 CHESTNUT STREET, CHATTANOOGA, TN. 37402. 5/28/2002 ORIGINAL ORDER NUMBER 901887. I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS WITH THESE TIRES DEVELOPING BULGES ON THE TREADS. THEY REPLACED 2 TIRES AT NO CHARGE. WHEN THEY DEVELOPED BULGES ON THE TREADS. THEN I HAD ANOTHER ONE DEVELOP A BULGE. WHICH I HAD NOT CONTACTED THEM ABOUT. AND REPLACED WITH A SPARE. IN THE LAST WEEK I HAVE HAD BOTH FRONT TIRES BEGIN TO BULGE AND CONTACTED COKER TIRE. THEY REFUSED TO REPLACE THEM OR CREDIT THEM BACK. SAYING THEY NO LONGER STOCKED THE TIRE. SO I WENT TO SEARS AND HAD THEM REPLACED WITH ANOTHER BRAND FOR SAFETY REASONS. THE 2 TIRES I HAVE REMAINING ONE ON THE REAR AND ONE NOT EVEN MOUNTED. I HAVE NO IDEA IF THEY ARE DEFECTIVE. I HAVE POSTED PICTURES OF THE TIRES I NOW HAVE AND THE OBVIOUS DEFECTS THEY ARE SHOWING IN THE TREADS. AT THIS SITE: HTTP://WWW.GEOCITIES.COM/DADDY202DEAREST/DEFECTIVE_TIRES__FROM_COKER_TIRE.HTM *LA
Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
