What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2001 Prevost Le Mirage Xl 2, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

IT IS A COMPLAINT ABOUT THE TIRES FOR THE MOTORCOACHES. THE TIRES WERE DEFECTIVE WITH LARGE BUBBLE WHEN THEY WERE FILLED WITH AIR. WE HAD NO INCIDENT BECAUSE WE DID NOT USE THEM AFTER WE FOUND OUT THAT PROBLEM. WE CONTACTED THE RETAILER I & E TIRES AT 611 SMITH STREET, BROOKLYN, NY 11231 AND THE MANUFACTURER CONTINENTAL TIRE COMPANY TO REPORT THE PROBLEMS BUT WE DID NOT GET ANY ANSWER FROM BOTH PARTY. THERE WERE OVER 10 DEFECTIVE BUS TIRES WE CANNOT USE BUT EITHER THE RETAILER NOR MANUFACTURER WOULD LIKE TO RESPONSE FOR IT. *TR

THE WIPER ARM ATTACHMENT TO THE DRIVE SHAFTS CAME LOOSE CAUSING THE WIPER SYSTEM ON THE DRIVER SIDE TO BECOME INOPERATIVE. THERE IS AN ACTIVE RECALL ON THIS, (NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 02V142000) BUT I HAVE BEEN INFORMED BY PREVOST THAT IT DOES NOT INCLUDE MY COACH NUMBER, I BELIEVE IT SHOULD AS IT IS THE SAME PROBLEM. *TR
