The defect: Prevost Car (US) Inc. (Prevost) is recalling certain 2024 X3-45 VIP Entertainer motor coaches. The cable powering the electric radiator cooling fans may be improperly connected and overheat.
The risk: An improperly connected cable that overheats can increase the risk of a fire. Additionally, a vehicle fire may require an evacuation procedure in an uncontrolled traffic situation, increasing the risk of injury to passengers.
The remedy: Prevost will inspect and replace damaged components, and tighten the radiator cooling fan cable nut, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 18, 2024. Owners may contact Prevost customer service at 1-866-870-2046. Prevost's number for this recall is SR24-05.

The defect: Prevost Car (US) Inc. (Prevost) is recalling certain 2024 H3-45, 2023-2024 H3-45 VIP, X3-45 VIP, X3-45 VIP Entertainer, and 2023 X3-45 motor coaches. The grid heater cables that connect to the relay may have a loose connection and cause the relay to overheat.
The risk: A relay that overheats can increase the risk of a fire.
The remedy: Prevost will inspect and replace damaged components, and tighten the grid heater relay nuts, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 30, 2023. Owners may contact Prevost customer service at 1-908-222-7211. Prevost's number for this recall is SR23-42.

The gasket thickness was increased from 1.5 mm to 3 mm to prevent interference between the collar ends, which previously made it impossible to reach the specified tightening torque. Increasing the gasket thickness ensures sufficient clearance between the collar ends and thus guarantees optimal tightening.
