The defect

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: MINI MOTOR HOMES. CERTAIN PLEATED SHADES FAILED THE REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS NO. 302, "FLAMMABILITY OF INTERIOR MATERIALS."

The risk

IF A FIRE OCCURRED IN THE MOTOR HOME, THE PLEATED SHADES WOULD BURN AT AN ACCELERATED RATE, INCREASING THE RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY.

The remedy

DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE PLEATED SHADES ON THESE MOTOR HOMES.

OWNER NOTIFICATIONBEGAN MARCH 13,2000. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT JAYCO AT 1-877-825-4782.
