The defect
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES. THESE VEHICLES FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS NO. 201, "OCCUPANT PROTECTION IN INTERIOR IMPACT."
The risk
IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH, PERSONAL INJURY COULD OCCUR.
The remedy
DEALERS WILL MODIFY THE INTERIOR OF YOUR VEHICLE.

OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN AUGUST 10, 2000. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT ISUZU AT 1-800-643-4070, EXT. 343.
