The defect

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: HEAVY DUTY TRUCKS. THE UPPER STEERING COLUMN PINCH BOLT MAY NOT HAVE BEEN PROPERLY TORQUED.

The risk

LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL CAN OCCUR IF THE BOLT FALLS OUT.

The remedy

DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE UPPER STEERING COLUMN PINCH BOLT FOR CORRECT TORQUE AND RE-TORQUE IF NECESSARY.

OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN DECEMBER 27, 2000.
