The defect
CERTAIN AMBULANCES BUILT ON FORD F-450 CAB-CHASSIS TRUCKS HAVE THE WRONG ATTACHMENT BRACKET ON THE REAR AIR SUSPENSION COMPONENTS.
The risk
THE BRACKET COULD FAIL CAUSING A LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
The remedy
DEALERS WILL INSTALL THE CORRECT BRACKET KIT. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN APRIL 25, 2003. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT WHEELED COACH AT 1-800-628-8178.
