The defect
CERTAIN TRAVEL TRAILERS FAIL TO COMPLY WITH REQUIREMENTS OF PART 567, "CERTIFICATION." THE INCORRECT GROSS AXLE WEIGHT RATING (GAWR) WAS PRINTED ON THE LABEL. THE CORRECT GAWR WEIGHT FIGURE SHOULD BE 5080 LB PER AXLE.
The remedy
OWNERS ARE BEING PROVIDED WITH CORRECT LABELS AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS. IF AN OWNER IS NOT COMFORTABLE INSTALLING THIS LABEL, THEY CAN TAKE IT TO THEIR DEALER AND THE DEALER WILL INSTALL IT AT NO CHARGE. OWNER NOTIFICATION IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN DURING NOVEMBER 2003. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT FLEETWOOD AT 1-800-444-3307.
