The defect
ON CERTAIN ENCLOSED CARGO TRAILERS EQUIPPED WITH RFD WHEELS, THERE IS A DEFECTIVE WELD OF THE WHEEL'S CENTER HUB TO THE WHEEL'S RIM.
The risk
THIS COULD RESULT IN A WHEEL SEPARATION INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
The remedy
JOHN H. ENTERPRISE/ATLAS SPECIALTY IS WORKING WITH RFD AND RFD IS CONDUCTING THE OWNER NOTIFICATION AND WILL REPLACE THE WHEELS ON AFFECTED TRAILERS. OWNERS MAY CONTACT RFD COMPONENTS AT 574-295-3939 OR JOHN H. ENTERPRISE/ATLAS SPECIALTY AT 1-574-293-6008.
