The defect
ON CERTAIN TRAVEL AND FIFTH WHEEL TRAILERS EQUIPPED WITH REFUELING STATION PUMPS, THE INLET FITTING MAY NOT HAVE THE CORRECT AMOUNT OF THREAD SEALER WHICH MAY CAUSE A FUEL LEAK.
The risk
IF THE FITTING LEAKS, IT COULD RESULT IN A FIRE OR EXPLOSION CAUSING BODILY HARM.
The remedy
DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND REPLACE THE PUMP WITH A NEW ONE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON MARCH 3, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT MONACO AT 800-685-6545.
