The defect
CERTAIN DOREL JUVENILE GROUP CHILD RESTRAINT SYSTEMS MANUFACTURED FROM OCTOBER 1 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2005. THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR A CHILD TO HAVE HIS/HER FINGER STUCK IN THE SQUARE HOLE LOCATED ON THE LEFT ARMREST.
The risk
A SMALL CHILD COULD PUT A FINGER OR THUMB IN THE HOLE AND MAY NOT BE ABLE TO PULL IT FREE ON THEIR OWN.
The remedy
DOREL WILL NOTIFY REGISTERED OWNERS AND PROVIDE A FREE REPAIR KIT. THIS RECALL BEGAN ON MAY 22, 2007. OWNERS CAN CONTACT DOREL AT 1-877-639-0659, MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 8AM TO 4:30PM EST OR VISIT THEIR WEBSITE AT WWW.DJGUSA.COM.
