The defect
TRIPLE E IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2010 REGENCY GT 29DB AND GT28DB MOTORHOMES EQUIPPED WITH FLEXSTEEL EASY-BED SOFA FOR FAILING TO COMPLY WITH FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 207, "SEATING SYSTEM." THE EASY BED SOFA WAS MANUFACTURED WITHOUT A ROLLOVER SAFETY LOCKING LATCH.
The risk
IN THE EVENT OF A MOTOR VEHICLE ROLL OVER THE EASY BED MAY WANT TO OPEN, WITH THE WEIGHT OF A SEAT BELTED OCCUPANT CAUSING THE OCCUPANT TO BE INJURED FROM THE SEAT BELT.
The remedy
DEALERS WILL INSTALL A LOCKING LATCH ON THE EASY BED SOFA FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON ON MARCH 12, 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT TRIPLE E AT 204-325-4361.
