What this recall covers

NHTSA's campaign record, quoted as published

The defect

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2019 Forest River Prime Time recreational trailers. The stove is not isolated from the furnace return air, which potentially causes an inverted flame on the cooktop.

The risk

The inverted stove top flame can cause the propane supply line to fail, increasing the risk of injury.

The remedy

Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will install a panel to separate the stove top from the furnace return air feed, free of charge. The recall began July 18, 2018. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-862-3001. Forest River's number for this recall is 48-0755.

Notes

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

A safety recall is issued when a manufacturer or NHTSA determines that a vehicle has a safety-related defect or does not comply with a federal motor vehicle safety standard. Recall repairs are free. Whether a specific vehicle is covered depends on its VIN — a recall listed for a model year does not necessarily apply to every vehicle of that year.
