What this recall covers

NHTSA's campaign record, quoted as published

The defect

Bombardier Recreation Products, Inc. (BRP) is recalling certain 2021 Sea-Doo Move I Extended 1500 trailers. The wheel spindles were improperly welded to the axle.

The risk

The welds can break, causing the wheel to detach and increasing the risk of a crash.

The remedy

Owners are advised not to drive their trailer until the remedy is completed. Dealers will reimburse trailer transportation costs and replace the axle, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on June 4, 2021. Owners may contact Bombardier customer service at 1-888-272-9222. BRP's number for this recall is 2021-4.

Notes

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

A safety recall is issued when a manufacturer or NHTSA determines that a vehicle has a safety-related defect or does not comply with a federal motor vehicle safety standard. Recall repairs are free. Whether a specific vehicle is covered depends on its VIN — a recall listed for a model year does not necessarily apply to every vehicle of that year.
