The defect
McClain Trailers Inc. (McClain Trailers) is recalling certain 2024 10K, 12K, 15K, and 18K boat trailers. The Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) listed on the trailer brake actuator is incorrect, which can allow it to become overloaded.
The risk
An overloaded trailer brake actuator can increase the risk of a crash.
The remedy
McClain Trailers will mail corrected labels to owners, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 23, 2024. Owners may contact McClain Trailers customer service at 1-713-675-2761.
