The defect

Featherlite Trailer Manufacturing, LLC (Featherlite) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Living Quarters Horse Trailers, models 7821, 7841, 9807, and 9808. The cooktop may have a rubber gas line instead of a copper line.

The risk

The rubber line may overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.

The remedy

Dealers will install a copper extension, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 8, 2025. Owners may contact Featherlite customer service at 1-800-800-1230.

Notes

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or go to nhtsa.gov.

A safety recall is issued when a manufacturer or NHTSA determines that a vehicle has a safety-related defect or does not comply with a federal motor vehicle safety standard. Recall repairs are free. Whether a specific vehicle is covered depends on its VIN — a recall listed for a model year does not necessarily apply to every vehicle of that year.
