What this recall covers

NHTSA's campaign record, quoted as published

The defect

Oshkosh Corporation (Oshkosh Defense) is recalling certain 2025 NGDV delivery vehicles. The air bag warning label on the sun visor may detach. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."

The risk

A missing label cannot warn occupants about the risks of air bag deployment, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.

The remedy

Oshkosh Defense will replace the sun visor assembly and add an electric shock warning label as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 18, 2025. Owners may contact Oshkosh customer service at 1-833-304-8100. Oshkosh's number for this recall is NGDV_TSB_040.

A safety recall is issued when a manufacturer or NHTSA determines that a vehicle has a safety-related defect or does not comply with a federal motor vehicle safety standard. Recall repairs are free. Whether a specific vehicle is covered depends on its VIN — a recall listed for a model year does not necessarily apply to every vehicle of that year.
