The defect

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Jay Flight SLX travel trailers. The furnace exhaust vent may be missing from the exterior wall, allowing carbon monoxide to enter the vehicle.

The risk

Unvented carbon monoxide increases the risk of injury or death from carbon monoxide poisoning.

The remedy

Dealers will inspect and install a furnace exhaust vent as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 18, 2025. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco's number for this recall is 9901636.

A safety recall is issued when a manufacturer or NHTSA determines that a vehicle has a safety-related defect or does not comply with a federal motor vehicle safety standard. Recall repairs are free. Whether a specific vehicle is covered depends on its VIN — a recall listed for a model year does not necessarily apply to every vehicle of that year.
