What this recall covers

NHTSA's campaign record, quoted as published

The defect

International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2026 MV vehicles. The battery interconnect cable may contact the auxiliary stud and hold down bracket, causing a short circuit.

The risk

A short circuit increases the risk of a fire.

The remedy

Dealers will install three wind laces on the battery hold down and add a J-bolt between each battery to ensure 3 mm of terminal clearance, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 10, 2025. Owners may contact International customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 25513.

A safety recall is issued when a manufacturer or NHTSA determines that a vehicle has a safety-related defect or does not comply with a federal motor vehicle safety standard. Recall repairs are free. Whether a specific vehicle is covered depends on its VIN — a recall listed for a model year does not necessarily apply to every vehicle of that year.
