The defect
International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2019-2020 CV vehicles. The brake pressure switch harness may not have protective material on the wires, causing a short circuit and reducing brake performance.
The risk
Reduced brake performance can extend stopping distance and increase the risk of a crash.
The remedy
Dealers will remove, add protective material, and reinstall the brake pressure switch harness, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 1, 2025. Owners may contact International customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 25521. Vehicles in this recall that were previously repaired under 23V282 and 25V414 will need to have the new remedy completed. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs)involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning December 19, 2025.
A safety recall is issued when a manufacturer or NHTSA determines that a vehicle has a safety-related defect or does not comply with a federal motor vehicle safety standard. Recall repairs are free. Whether a specific vehicle is covered depends on its VIN — a recall listed for a model year does not necessarily apply to every vehicle of that year.
