What this recall covers

NHTSA's campaign record, quoted as published

The defect

Zero Motorcycles Inc. (Zero) is recalling certain 2024-2025 DSR/X, DS, DSR, and DSRP motorcycles. The front brake hose may be twisted and become damaged, which can cause a brake fluid leak and a loss of brake pressure.

The risk

A loss of brake pressure can reduce braking ability and cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

The remedy

Dealers will inspect and replace the hose as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 23, 2026. Owners may contact Zero customer service at 1-888-841-8085. Zero's number for this recall is SV-RCL-025-017.2. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov on February 27, 2026.

A safety recall is issued when a manufacturer or NHTSA determines that a vehicle has a safety-related defect or does not comply with a federal motor vehicle safety standard. Recall repairs are free. Whether a specific vehicle is covered depends on its VIN — a recall listed for a model year does not necessarily apply to every vehicle of that year.
