The defect
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2025 CB1000SP motorcycles. The fuel feed hose may disconnect from the fuel tank, causing a fuel leak.
The risk
A fuel leak near the rear tire can increase the risk of a crash or injury. In addition, a fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.
The remedy
Dealers will secure the angle sensor coupler wiring harness and replace the fuel hose, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 20, 2026. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-866-784-1870. Honda's number for this recall is KU5. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning April 4, 2026.
A safety recall is issued when a manufacturer or NHTSA determines that a vehicle has a safety-related defect or does not comply with a federal motor vehicle safety standard. Recall repairs are free. Whether a specific vehicle is covered depends on its VIN — a recall listed for a model year does not necessarily apply to every vehicle of that year.
