What this recall covers

NHTSA's campaign record, quoted as published

The defect

Greenpower Motor Company Inc. (Greenpower) is recalling certain 2020-2024 Nano Beast and 2021-2024 Beast school buses. The Cross View Mirror is designed to only view pedestrian around stopped buses. The label warning drivers not to use the mirror to view vehicular traffic may be missing. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

The risk

Without a warning label, the driver may use the altered view to see other vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash.

The remedy

Greenpower will inspect and install the label as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 4, 2026. Owners may contact Greenpower's customer service at 1-909-346-1090. Greenpower's number for this recall is GP-SVS-26-001.

A safety recall is issued when a manufacturer or NHTSA determines that a vehicle has a safety-related defect or does not comply with a federal motor vehicle safety standard. Recall repairs are free. Whether a specific vehicle is covered depends on its VIN — a recall listed for a model year does not necessarily apply to every vehicle of that year.
